Mr. Ellis Zuleger
Development Intern
Ellis Zuleger joined CLR in 2026 and brings a passion for leadership, service, and helping others succeed.
Ellis is currently pursuing a degree in Educational Administration at Wisconsin Lutheran College with the goal of becoming a school principal. As Student Council President at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School, he led multiple fundraising campaigns, coordinated service projects, and planned school events that encouraged students to connect, serve, and grow together. These experiences fostered a heart for ministry and service, making Christian Life Resources a natural fit as he seeks opportunities to serve and care for others while sharing Christ’s love.
Outside of work, Ellis enjoys playing pickleball, being a movie connoisseur, exploring national parks, building LEGO sets, and spending time with family and friends. Music has been an important part of his life for many years. He regularly serves as a pianist for church services, accompanies his church choir, and accompanied chapel services and choir performances throughout his time at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. Through music ministry, he has been blessed with opportunities to use his talents in service to God and others.
Ellis is grateful for the opportunity to serve at Christian Life Resources and be part of a ministry that shares Christ’s love with others. His values are rooted in Isaiah 6:8: “Here am I. Send me!”—a reminder to faithfully answer God’s call wherever He leads and to use his gifts in service to God and those around him.

Mr. Scott Menke

The most recent permanent position was Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside with management oversite for accounting, budget, human resources, information technology, facilities management, risk management, and the police department. Retirement was delayed when he was appointed to serve as Interim Chancellor (President) of the University when former Chancellor Ford left for another position. Prior to serving as Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration, Menke served as the University’s Director of Business Services, a position that included the title of Controller and an appointment to serve as a member of the Chancellor’s Cabinet. During his services as Director of Business Services, he also served as the Budget Officer and filled in as the Interim Human Resources Director during several vacancies.
Prior to his tenure in higher education, Menke spent time in public accounting, private industry, and did consulting as an independent contractor. His experience includes responsibilities in all areas of financial management including financial modeling and analysis, budgeting, managerial accounting, and information systems. Management experience includes staff recruiting and development, department reorganization, and process re-engineering.
Throughout his career, Menke served on numerous non-profit boards and committees. He currently serves as the Treasurer of Christian Life Resources, a position he has held since 2008. Dr. Steve Bondow

Steve and his wife, Susan, have been blessed with 3 children and 10 grandchildren, much sharing of faith and love. He continues now on a gradual path to retirement as God allows. Golf is now an increasing activity as he tries to get his 18-hole golf score below his age — not there yet!
It remains a great privilege for Steve to serve with the Board and staff of CLR in honoring our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as the sole author of life and death.
Rev. Jeremy Husby
Director

He received a Bachelor of Arts from Martin Luther College in 2004 and a Master of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2008 and participates in a variety of continuing education classes. Jeremy is husband to Courtney and is a cheer dad to Laila. When he is not in his office or cheering along on the sidelines, Jeremy enjoys watching Detroit Tigers baseball from his Batman-themed basement (that Pastor Fleischmann helped him renovate!). Working with CLR allows Jeremy to learn and discover even more of God’s wisdom and grace to share with the members of his community and the world.
Rev. Adam Pilarski
Director
Pastor Adam Pilarski has served on the Christian Life Resources National Board since 2022. He attended Martin Luther College and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, graduating in 2015 with a Master of Divinity degree.
Following graduation, he married his beloved wife, Carrie, and was called to serve four congregations in rural northwestern South Dakota: Christ Lutheran Church in Bison, St. Paul Lutheran Church in McIntosh, Christ Lutheran Church in Morristown, and Peace Lutheran Church in Isabel. Pastor Pilarski likes to say that serving four congregations gave him sixteen years of preaching experience in only four years.
In 2019, he accepted a call to serve St. John’s Lutheran Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. During their time there, the Lord blessed Adam and Carrie with two sons, Owen and Josiah. In 2024, Pastor Pilarski accepted the call to serve his current congregation, First Lutheran Church in La Crescent, Minnesota. The following year, the Lord blessed their family with a daughter, Aria.
Through his service with Christian Life Resources, Pastor Pilarski is thankful for the opportunity to speak on behalf of those who have no voice and to defend those who cannot defend themselves. He prays that the Lord will continue to bless CLR’s work and use it to uphold the precious gift of human life.
Mr. Brian Roser
Director
Mr. Roser joined the board of directors of CLR in 2017. He has worked for the WELS Church Extension Fund for over 10 years and currently serves as their executive director. Mr. Philip Warnecke
Director
Philip Warnecke joined the Christian Life Resources National Board in 2022, where he serves as Chairman of the Ethics Subcommittee. His work focuses on helping the Church Militant address contemporary bioethical questions through the lens of Scripture, philosophy, and the law.
Philip earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Wide-Range German Education from Wisconsin Lutheran College. In 2022, he completed a Graduate Certificate in Bioethics at Concordia University Wisconsin-Mequon, where his studies emphasized law and bioethics. He plans to pursue a Master of Legal Studies within the next two years to further equip his work in bioethics and legal research.
For more than a decade, Philip has served as a Lutheran educator in Florida and Wisconsin. He currently teaches fifth grade, middle school science, and Christian Character Formation at Immanuel Lutheran School in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He also teaches Italian, German, and Latin through an immersive language approach and develops a Christ-centered curriculum, Built to Last, that integrates theology, character formation, and classical education.
When he isn’t in the classroom or researching bioethical issues, Philip enjoys spending time with his family, making wine, playing the violin, and is always ready to discuss an interesting court case, Roman history, or the next great philosophical thought experiment.
“Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” — Psalm 90:12
Philip considers every vocation a gift from God and prays that his work would point others to Christ, who is the source of true wisdom, life, and hope.
Prof. Brad Wordell
Director
Brad served for years as a parish pastor in the US and a missionary in Japan. Throughout that ministry, he found Christian Life Resources’ materials and the counsel of its director to be biblically-rooted, research-based, current, and compassionate. He believes CLR has much to offer pastors as they shepherd Christ’s people through beginning-of-life issues, end-of-life issues, and everything in between. Brad joined the CLR Governing Board in 2024 and he and his wife Andrea are blessed with five grown children and became grandparents in 2025. He prays that CLR’s ministries will help God’s people sing, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139).
