Issues of life and death are often consumed with discussions and decisions involved with making correct medical decisions near the end of life. Amidst the confusion of tube feeding, ventilators, dialysis and a host of other medical care mechanisms we often overlook our first and perhaps greatest application of Biblical life principles. Consider what you can do beyond making decisions about medical care. Consider what you can do on a daily basis to sustain life.

Prayer:

Dear Father in Heaven, move us to care for human life as stewards who watch over your creation. Teach us to be loving, sacrificial and compassionate. May others see in us a reflection of your sacrifice and love. Bless our efforts so that in the end others might know your love, the salvation you have brought, and the certain hope of eternal life which rises above all earthly woes. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
